Why are in person on card autographed cards not worth 10x sticker or on card autos by card companies? In reality it takes much more effort and luck to get a big players auto in person and on card. Thoughts?

Auto-Generate cards from Japanese dictionaries?

Main Post:

Hi there! I'm working on a deck for my Japanese classes, and I wouldn't like to just have the phrase/word on one side, and the reading/meaning on the other. Is there any way to input a word, and get the readings/meaning from a dictionary like Jisho?

I'd like something like

[word or phrase] in one side

[Kanji, meanings, readings, maybe even pitch accent?] on the other side

Is there any way to do this automatically/in bulk? I'd really appreciate it.

Top Comment: It's not totally bulk / automated, but try setting up yomichan and ankiconnect with this guide . It will basically let you hover over a word, press a button, and autofill a anki card with the word (in kanji), reading (in kana), definition, and pitch accent. You can ignore the extra stuff about MPV and ShareX.

Auto color coded cards by initial list??

Main Post:

Iโ€™d like a card to be color coded by the list itโ€™s created under. Iโ€™d like it to stay that color no matter where I move it. Is this possible?

Top Comment:

I don't think you can do it 'automatically' without Butler help.

Lowest number of manual clicks to get it otherwise is probably going to be either:- using a Custom Fields power up, drop down list on the card when you create the card. They can be say, the list names, then coloured and set to display on the front of the card when creating the custom field and stay when the card is moved. In fact, basically another label (but custom fields have other much wider use possibilities).- Or, just use a colour 'card cover' banner. No text label, so you have to remember what the colour means.

Unfortunately, it's going to be a few clicks on card creation without Butler. But, if I'm wrong, I'll learn something too if someone else chimes in with a different answer.

How can I make my cards have auto height using grid?

Main Post:

How can I move up the second-row cards to fill the white space between them?

This is the CSS code:

Top Comment: You may want to skip using grid and use flex box columns. The main difference here (other than using flex instead of grid) is that your elements will go top to bottom through each column before moving to the next, rather than through each row. https://play.tailwindcss.com/Rtqjbo1npV

On card auto?

Main Post:

Random and maybe dumb question. Having a player sign a card enhances its value right? If I have a prospect's card that is numbered to 10, and then have the player sign it with a sharpie, that would increase value of card?

Top Comment:

Unless the player is sitting down and not working his way down an autograph line pre-game, is given a proper marker, and it's not roughed up/dinged, and then authenticated via PSA, I would never buy one.

When you look at in-person autos from games/events, the autos are always in terrible ink on terrible condition cards.

Unpopular Opinion - you do not need to grade everything. Every auto, every parallel, color variation, numbered, vintage. It's ABSOLUTELY okay to not have it graded. I see so many people ask 'should I grade these? What grade would I get?' Don't feel beholden to every card. Just my take

Top Comment:

I like to buy slabbed vintage to ensure authenticity but the rush to slab every modern card baffles me. I think the perceived value of grading modern will diminish when PSA clears out their backlog.

Manual card with auto clutch?

Main Post:

Are there any manual cars (H pattern or sequential, not automatic cars with a option for paddle or sequential) that have an automatic clutch? Iโ€™m just genuinely curious about it.
